Staff Software Engineer at Google
I am Staff Software Engineer at Google and holds a PhD from EPFL Switzerland.
I currently leading a Cloud Speech Quality team. Prior to this, I TLed an amazing project that became a top feature on Pixel 6+ phones - enhanced voice dictation in GBoard. Prior to this I was working on Text formatting and simplification models and their on-device integration, as well as, owned add-on personalization features of Gmail’s Smart Compose.
During my time at Google, I authored several research paper and patents (including one in Nature Communications), participated in NLP related conferences, taught self-made NLP class, mentored numerous students/colleagues/interns, gave numerous public talks on ML related topics, and much more!
One of my technical passions is AI for Social Good, as such I had participated in several Dagstuhl seminars on the topic and worked with several NGO’s to bring the powers AI has to address their cases.
Prior to Google I obtained her PhD degree in EPFL, Lausanne where I was working on profiling, modelling and facilitation of online activism on social media (by developing multimodal models or algorithms to predict some online phenomena).
In any free time, I adore pole gymnastics and try to be a reasonable mother for two mega cute kids :)
